Many members approach us for help with common issues, such as debt repayment, medical and disability-related expenses, temporary housing support, assistance with everyday living expenses through to funeral and bereavement costs. Our aim is to ensure you receive the guidance and resources needed to regain control over your financial wellbeing.

Financial wellbeing support
If money worries are affecting your wellbeing, we’re here to help. You’ll have a confidential conversation with our independent Insolvency and Welfare Benefits Advisor, MWS Consult Ltd, who will review your financial situation and guide you through practical options to improve your stability. Where appropriate, we can also signpost you to further support and, in cases of genuine need, a financial grant of up to £5,000 may be available as part of a wider plan to help you regain control.

Hardship in Bereavement Grant
We also offer a Hardship in Bereavement Grant to support families following the sudden loss of a serving member police officer. This grant is intended to cover immediate costs, such as funeral expenses, and provide relief during the probate process. Our goal is to ensure that families receive the financial support they need to navigate this challenging period without added financial stress.

Short-term financial strain while affairs are being settled
Assistance may be provided where families are facing financial uncertainty, including during the probate process and funeral costs
