Expert physiotherapy care to help you move better, feel better and recover faster.
Physiotherapy - Your path to recovery starts here.
What happens after you apply ?
Applying for physiotherapy does not automatically book a stay at St Michael’s Lodge. Every application begins with an assessment by our physiotherapy team
Your Assessment
When you submit a physiotherapy application, you're requesting an initial assessment so we can offer the most appropriate treatment.
Residential rehabilitation stays are not booked directly and are only considered following clinical assessment where appropriate.
Understanding Your Needs
During your assessment, we'll discuss your symptoms, current level of function and treatment goals to gain a clear understanding of how your condition is affecting you.
Your Treatment Options
Together, we'll agree the most appropriate treatment plan for your needs. This may include outpatient physiotherapy at St Michael's Lodge, or at one of our regional clinics.
Residential Rehabilitation
If we believes you would benefit from a more intensive rehabilitation programme, a residential stay at St Michael's Lodge may be recommended as part of your treatment plan.
Pain and discomfort shouldn’t be something you just work around. Persistent pain affects movement, performance, and everyday life. Our physiotherapy focuses on treating the root cause of pain — not just managing symptoms — so you can recover with confidence.
Outpatient physiotherapy designed to fit around you
We offer outpatient physiotherapy through our treatment centre and regional satellite clinics, providing specialist care without admission, long stays, or unnecessary disruption to work and family
Convenience
Receive first class care without the need to be away from home or take extended time off work.
Personalised treatment
Our outpatient services allow for a customised approach that fits into your schedule and lifestyle.
Local access
With multiple satellite clinics, help is always close by, making it easier for you to stay committed to your recovery.
A specialist service. long-term strength.
Our physiotherapy team works exclusively with the policing community. We understand the physical demands of arrest situations, protective equipment, high-force training environments, and the cumulative strain of the job.
While other healthcare services are designed for the general population, our approach is targeted and role-specific.
Our goal is not just to resolve an injury, but to equip you with the strength, knowledge and confidence to maintain your progress long after treatment ends.

Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is a therapeutic practice using warm water to relieve pain, improve joint mobility, and strengthen muscles. The water’s buoyancy supports movement, enabling exercise and stretching without the strain of traditional workouts.
Shockwave therapy: A high-end solution at no cost for our members
Non-invasive and highly effective, Shock Wave Therapy uses acoustic waves to stimulate blood flow, accelerate tissue repair, and reduce pain in targeted areas. Where clinically appropriate, your physio may include this in your treatment plan.
Early support can make recovery easier
When pain is left untreated, it doesn’t just persist—it can get worse, leading to chronic conditions and limiting your ability to do the things you enjoy.
Take the first step towards recovery today before the situation becomes harder to reverse.
